So this is it..not the best top but will do...
I wanted something simple but do the ruffles seem out of place? Or maybe I should add more?
And I'm always forgetting to take a before picture...I get in such a hurry to get it done that I forget but it looked exactly like this. These t shirts were on sale at Michaels for $2.50
So after trimming the sleeves, taking it in on the sides,
and gathering the ruffles (this is from the excess fabric taken in on the sides)
And here we are!
I don't think its cute, cute but it works for a casual t-shirt. So thanks for looking!
I like it! I have some shirt refashions on my blog as well! It's like having a new shirt:) You did a fabulous job!!

What a genius idea and a great way to upcycle!
ReplyDeleteIf you don't mind I would love it if you linked up to my weekly upcycled/stashbusting linky pary (Upcycled Awesome) at www.thetshirtdiaries.com or use this link: http://tinyurl.com/upcycled49
Thanks for the idea. I work at a preschool and always look for cute/extremely inexpensive/often disposable tops to wear. 2.50 is certainly in my budget!
ReplyDeleteI love ruffles, they add texture to otherwise dull outfits - can't get enough of them :) You're right, your top is cute, but not overly so, well done! I'm also doing a weekly linky party if you're keen in participating? http://www.recycled-fashion.com/
